Where to stay in the Cinque Terre?
You are here:   » THE CINQUE TERRE   » THE WEATHER

» The weather

The territory is encircled on the North by high mountains and so is defended from the cold winds. On the contrary, the area is higly exposed to the south winds, and when the Libeccio (the southwest wind) or the Scirocco blow towards the coast it's possible to enjoy the view of wonderful sea-storms.

In any time of the year the weather is pleasant in this particular area, the best place for thriving of the fig-tree, vine and olive-tree.

For detailed information on the weather conditions we suggest to visit the CMIRL - Centro Meteo Idrologico della Regione Liguria" External link - opens a new window (Liguria region weather idrological Centre) website.
